Break extended for a bit, but I've got some fun events to share soon...

Hey book friends!  Hope you guys are doing well and having some good fall reading.  I have been more than a bit busy and will continue to be for a time.  However, I wanted to check in and give a bit of a teaser for what I hope to share in the next couple of weeks (or maybe in early December).

The picture above is from a trip my husband and I took to Phoenix recently and it's the Arizona Biltmore.  My husband had a work conference that took place there and I tagged along (as I do when it's somewhere fun that I want to visit).  We had a great time.  The weather was perfect.  After he finished his conference, we stayed another few days for more golf for him and more beautiful walking for me.  Oh, and also I visited the Poisoned Pen Bookstore twice and got to attend author events each time.  See, I said I had fun things to share!

I hope to do one post about the Arizona Biltmore with pictures because I participated in a 'History Tour' there and it was a lot of fun and informative.  That hotel and resort area has been open for 95 years, so lots to tell.

I'll also do two posts about my trips to the Poisoned Pen and about the 4 authors that I got see.  Plus about their books, etc.

If I don't get back before Thanksgiving (which we are hosting), I wish each of you that celebrate that holiday a lovely time.  Take care and happy reading!  Talk to you soon!

  3. It sounds like you had a wonderful time in Arizona, Kay! I'm looking forward to hearing more about it when you have time to share those details.

We're hosting Thanksgiving, as well. There will be ten of us, which will be fun but also a bit of work with the meals. The past few weeks have felt super busy, so I'm actually looking forward to January when things settle down. :) Enjoy your holiday!

    1. Les, it was a really fun time and I do plan to share about it in a couple of weeks. Yes, I understand about the fun and the busy times with Thanksgiving. We'll be hosting Christmas as well, but more will come for that I'm thinking. We'll see. Hope you and your family have a wonderful time during this holiday season!

    1. It was definitely a fun trip and as I said, the weather was great. I really enjoyed walking all over the resort area. Also found a 'sweet' spot in the main lobby area right next to a fountain that was lovely for just sitting and reading. Very relaxing.

  10. The Poisoned Pen is on my bucket list of bookstores to visit! I'm intrigued by the Arizona Biltmore! I've been to the North Carolina version but never the Arizona one. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

  12. Our weather has been lovely lately! I've lived in Arizona for 25 years and I've never been to the Biltmore. I've visited the Poisoned Pen once, but that's it. Changing Hands is my go-to bookstore, but I should definitely drop into the PP again sometime.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, my friend!

    1. Susan, I thought about you while we were in Phoenix. I also remember you mentioning that Changing Hands is your usual bookstore. I've not ever made it to Changing Hands, but maybe next time we visit the area. We had not ever been to the Biltmore either, though we have visited Phoenix many times. Wonderful Thanksgiving to you and yours as well!
