This is a weekly event that highlights a book we can't wait to be published. It is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
I have meant to read several books by Heather Gudenkauf over the years. And I think I probably own all she's written up to this point. So, naturally I want to read her upcoming release. This week my Waiting on Wednesday pick is:
Publication Date: February 2nd
Upon arriving in Penny Gate, Sarah and Jack are welcomed by the family Jack left behind all those years ago—barely a trace of the wounds that had once devastated them all. But as facts about Julia's accident begin to surface, Sarah realizes that nothing about the Quinlans is what it seems. Caught in a flurry of unanswered questions, Sarah dives deep into the puzzling rabbit hole of Jack's past. But the farther in she climbs, the harder it is for her to get out. And soon she is faced with a deadly truth she may not be prepared for.
Great pick! I've only read The Weight Of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf but really enjoyed it. Hope you get to read it soon :)
ReplyDeleteGood to know that The Weight Of Silence is a thumbs-up. Thanks for that info!
DeleteOh, I've heard this one is really good!
ReplyDeleteHere is my pick: https://bookdustmagic.wordpress.com/2016/01/20/waiting-on-wendesday-2-summer-nights-at-the-moonlight-hotel-by-jane-costello/
Yes, I'm seeing others who have enjoyed it and so I'm excited about starting it soon.
DeleteHeather Gudenkauf is on my get immediately list when she releases a new book. They are all good. My favourite was The Weight of Silence, multiple narrators which I really enjoyed and thought she did really well.
ReplyDeleteAnother thumbs-up for The Weight Of Silence. I can see that I will need to get to that one this year.
DeleteThat should be a good one.
ReplyDeleteHoping so, Kathy. I've seen several who have enjoyed it already.
DeleteThis is an author I've been wanting to try and I love the blurb on this one! It's going on my TBR as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, you and me and both, Katherine. I have so many authors that I 'mean' to try. LOL
DeleteI LOVED this book! I hope you do, too, and that you get your hands on a copy soon. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteI saw your review Laurel-Rain and that made me even more excited.
DeleteI grabbed this one from NetGalley, but haven't had a chance to read it yet - eep! I plan to, in February. It sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteI see over there on your sidebar that you're listening to IN THE BLOOD. I listened to it too, and I thought it was super fantastic-ly wonderful-ly good. Ha! Can you tell I liked it?
Yes, it is very, very good. I read IN THE BLOOD before, but decided to listen to it. I'm gradually listening to the loosely connected Hollows series that Lisa Unger writes. I had read the first book and this one, but I'm filling in the ones around them. I love Unger's books.
DeleteI have a copy of this one and am looking forward to reading it. I read her last book and really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThat's good to know, Wendy. I'm looking forward to starting this one soon.
DeleteI just this one the last few days, it looks good! Hope you like it!!

I'm hoping to enjoy it, Joann.
DeleteI haven't read anything by her, but it seems that everyone loves her books, doesn't it? I'll have to look for a book by her. Thanks for liking all my silly stories, as I count down my cookbook.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't silly stories - they are great! And yes, this author does seem well liked. That bodes well. I think this one sounds really interesting.
DeleteI have this one on my Kindle but just haven't gotten to it. I did read one of her books a couple of years ago and did like it so I'm hoping this one will be a good one!
ReplyDeleteI think it definitely looks promising. I hope to get to it before too long.
