I'm posting a 'soon to be released' book on Wednesdays. These will always be books that I am particularly looking forward to. I'll be linking up to Tressa's blog at Wishful Endings and plan to take part in this each week.
Yesterday, I talked about Riley Sager's second book. There will be a third book by this author coming out in the summer. This week, I can't wait for:
by Riley Sager
Publication Date: July 2nd
No visitors. No nights spent away from the apartment. No disturbing the other residents, all of whom are rich or famous or both. These are the only rules for Jules Larsen’s new job as an apartment sitter at the Bartholomew, one of Manhattan's most high-profile and mysterious buildings. Recently heartbroken and just plain broke, Jules is taken in by the splendor of her surroundings and accepts the terms, ready to leave her past life behind.
As she gets to know the residents and staff of the Bartholomew, Jules finds herself drawn to fellow apartment sitter Ingrid, who comfortingly reminds her of the sister she lost eight years ago. When Ingrid confides that the Bartholomew is not what it seems and the dark history hidden beneath its gleaming facade is starting to frighten her, Jules brushes it off as a harmless ghost story . . . until the next day, when Ingrid disappears.
Searching for the truth about Ingrid’s disappearance, Jules digs deeper into the Bartholomew's sordid past and into the secrets kept within its walls. What she discovers pits Jules against the clock as she races to unmask a killer, expose the building’s hidden past, and escape the Bartholomew before her temporary status becomes permanent.
Sounds creepy. Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think creepy does describe it. It will be a long while until it comes out, but that's just fine. :-)
Deleteoh, I thought I'd heard that 'new to me ' author name before - yes I was here yesterday, when you mentioned her! :) I am liking the sound of this author!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Wednesday post! Happy Hump Day! x
You were indeed here yesterday. Thanks! And I just decided to feature both book right together. One to read now and one to anticipate.
DeleteI really hope that Final Girls was just a fluke for me and that I like Sager's 2nd and 3rd books. They do sound awesome.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, too. However, we know that not every author is a good match, right?
DeleteOh, I'm curious. And as Nicci mentioned, this one does sound creepy!
ReplyDeleteYes...and the color on the cover isn't creepy at all! LOL
DeleteAdding this one to my list right now!
ReplyDeleteAnother one...right? LOL
DeleteThat sounds rather good. One for when you're in 'Edge of the seat' mood. LOL
ReplyDeleteExactly, Cath. Which is not all the time right now.
DeleteOoh...I like the sound of this one!
ReplyDeleteIt does sound good doesn't it?
DeleteOoh, sounds very suspenseful! Great pick, Kay!

ReplyDeleteYes, it will be a while to wait, but it's not like I don't have other books...
DeleteYikes! Sounds like a good thriller.
ReplyDeleteI hope so...
DeleteOh I like that this seems to be a bit more on the spooky side compared to the other books by Sager. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteYes, I thought that too. They really like the vivid colors on the dustcovers for this author, don't they?
