Happy Easter!!

Hello my friends!  Wishing all of you a very Happy Easter!  Hope your weekend is and has been a peaceful one.  Please know that I think of all of you daily, hope you are well and safe and sensible.  I'm sharing a few more pictures today to brighten your lives (hopefully).  Take such good care, please!

Early sunrise picture of my view to the back of our house.  Not this morning - we've had thunderstorms, tornado watches and warnings, heavy rain and wind.  All is well though and the storms have passed.

This morning, we will be celebrating Easter with our church online.  Glad we have this avenue of worship these days.

Another beautiful rose from the Portland Rose Garden.  If you ever get a chance to visit there, I highly recommend it.

And for this Easter morning, a picture of an egg.  I'm assuming that it is a bird egg, but it oddly appeared the other day on our back porch.  Not as big as a chicken egg, maybe an inch or so in length.  There are no nests on our back porch and we have no idea how it came to be there.  We left it alone for a couple of days, but finally put it out in the yard.  Did we have an early visit from the Easter Bunny with a real egg?  Who knows?

  1. Happy Easter, Kay! I love that sunrise pic and the rose is beautiful, too! Hmm... I'd think that's a bird egg too and like you, I'm curious where it has come from.

    1. The egg was a little strange, but life is a little strange right now, right? Just one more mystery...

  5. I hope that isn't a snake egg!! :) Lovely photos, though. Happy Easter to you and Hayden. I'm glad you didn't have any problems with the stormy weather. Stay safe. xoxo

    1. No problems with the weather though there was a tornado that touched down not too many miles away. It is spring in Texas though and that means storms and possible tornados. And it wasn't a snake egg...LOL!

  8. Happy Belated Easter Kay; love your pic including the surprise egg drop LOL We had a quiet, just the 2 of us Easter, a holiday I generally host so kind of sad. I was happy the little ones had a nice day though.
    Have a good week.

    1. Yes, I'm sorry that you didn't get to have your family for Easter. It was different all the way around, wasn't it?

  9. We have a birds nest on our deck. Not in any of the three bird houses but on some new windows we got and are waiting to be installed. So we have to wait. The parents are very busy sun up to sun down going back and forth. I can hear the cheeping but cannot get close enough to look. The parents really put up a fuss if we go out there. Same as Diane, missed spending Easter with our daughter and husband as usual. My son is in Seattle and was supposed to be down in a couple of weeks but that is not happening. Kind of a bummer. Happy Easter and Spring!

    1. Sorry your kids were able to be with you, Gayle. We haven't seen our daughter and son-in-law since early March, even though they are local. However, she sent us a couple of shots of her in her protective gear. Lots and lots of layers. She says it's hot.

  11. A friend's niece in Ireland died, and they had an online service. I think that is a minor miracle. I wonder if such a thing has happened before?

    1. I bet that an online memorial service is something completely new for this new age. However, glad they were able to do it. I know that many here are having private funerals and then will do a larger memorial service at a later date. All kinds of new ways to do things, right?

  12. What a surprise to find an egg on your porch with no sign of where it may have come from! Such beautiful photos, Kay. I hope you had a Happy Easter.

    1. Yes, it was a little odd. We finally put the egg out in the yard and it's gone now. Probably a little snack for some creature. We did have a nice Easter, though different. LOL

    1. Thanks, Catherine. Had a nice Easter. My reading is still not 'normal', but it's OK. Maybe it's a new normal. Like feeling like I live in 'Groundhog Day', the movie. LOL

  14. I bet someone dropped that egg off.

Hoping your Easter was nice. Ours was but definitely a different vibe... not really a bad one just different.

The weather is nice again today which makes such a difference in my mood.
